this year’s theme seeks to emphasise the visual component of the word noise and to highlight the imbalance between the pejorative and positive connotations of the word. because things appear to have slipped out of control, urban, information, media, ideological noise, etc. has become toxic, violent, slowing poisoning you or killing you instantly. it crushes you, it eats into your space, it drives you from the city or even the country. visual noise has ceased to be just a metaphor; it has become tangible, invasive, toxic.
roar posters is a socio-political poster project initiated and curated by ciprian n. isac since 2018
