color is the fundamental and dominant element of essence, the source of experimentation in art and design / color as a sign in kazimir malevich’s suprematism and the ideas of ilya chashnik concerning color and its dynamics, born within the walls of the vitebsk people’s art school (1919–1922), became the foundation for the continuation of the unovis XXI century poster competition, the movement of color. the aim of the biennale is to explore the color principles of the 20th-century avant-garde in shaping the language of the 21st-century poster and contemporary art through the construction, dynamics, and harmony of color.
 
ilya chashnik’s movement of color in suprematism is a search for a dynamic state, a precisely calibrated rhythm of structural elements as the main criterion of completeness in art and design / color and the avant-garde, dynamics and color construction, rhythm and the music of color, experimentation—these are the core concepts of the competition.
